Don't let the lag time between postings on this site make you think that there hasn't been anything going on with the new Elyria High School. On the contrary, the work has been quite extensive and is truly the foundation for the new 300,000+ square-foot facility that will be the new Elyria High School.
The project is nearing the end of the Construction Documents Phase and will soon move into full-fledged construction.
Over the many months, work has been steadily progressing and many projects have been completed, including the new West Avenue Parking Lot and the geothermal well field, an intricate pattern of underground pipes that snake across the campus and create the energy-efficient heating and cooling system for the new building.
The new Elyria High School will be a sight to behold and the fun is about to begin. Today, a meeting was held to bring interested contractors up to speed on the scope of the project. Numerous packages will be up for bid in the near future, including general trades, masonry, roofing, Terrazzo tile, fire protection, HVAC, electrical, technology, furniture, casework/millwork, kitchen equipment, landscaping, and others. Interested parties should contact Scott Wagner, Project Manager, Regency Construction Services Inc., (216) 529-1188.
